Believe it or not, the state only requires a licensed home inspector to give an opinion about how your foundation is performing.

Yep... an opinion.

That usually means looking for things like:

• Big structural cracks

• Doors that act like moody teenagers and refuse to close

• Windows that suddenly need a gym membership to open

• Floors that make your marble roll away like it's late for work

Here's the funny part...

Foundations don't always announce they're having problems. Some can move quite a bit without showing any of those obvious warning signs. They're basically the ninjas of home defects.

At HHI, we don't like playing the "I think it's okay" game.

That's why we measure every concrete slab foundation we inspect.

Instead of standing in the living room, scratching our heads, and saying, "Looks good from here," we use professional equipment to measure the slab and map out the elevation across the home.

Because when you're spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a house, "Eh... probably fine" isn't exactly the confidence you're looking for.
